i've been thinkin of puttin a 3.45 lsd on me spac ford. its a 4 spd auto. being an auto, would the 3.45 be worth installing? Would i experience quicker starts with the diff even though i have a sluggish auto, and how much do they reatail?

Re: lsd for ea worth it?

yep - you will get a benifit - help the motor spin up a bit faster and reduce that waiting period between launching and overtaking the bloody commodore that gets a better launch :D

dunno about retail, try wreckers...

what you could do is get the gears from a VL diff, and then get a LSD EA/D diff and have a diff shop swap the gears for you and lap them in, shouldnt be very expensive.

Re: lsd for ea worth it?

So with the 4 speed auto and a 3.45 lsd what kind of revs are you going to be sitting on doing 120km/h?? Just out of interest..
