LSD - Really need Help :(

Heya Guys.

I have a EBII 1992 S-XR8 and I was told when I purchased it that they came standard with LSD diff's.

When I took off from my friend's house the other night, the wheels spun as i pulled out onto the road.

my friend said as I pulled out the the back wheel on his side was not spinning at all.

Can someone tell me what this means? :(

You will probably find that a 10 year old LSD will be rooted mate.
If u were turning it would definatley help it 2 open wheel. When u peel off from a standing start does it do two wheels?
There will be a tag on your diff stating that it is a high performance diff with LSD and a ratio tag also if it is the original LSD diff.

My car is powered by FORD 5.8

Thye friction cones wear with time. Time to have it shimmed up and freshened. I've already tightened up my EB LSD (went a bit far because it hops on tight turns now he he he).

Use quality synthetic oil when you refill it!

yes, but early EB2s with ABS (aka XR8 as well) had to have the LSD because of the 3 channel ABS software. I am guessing the 1992 model mentioned here is one of them.

my xr8 has ABS, so does that mean its an LSD diff? the dealer said it's LSD.

now and then when im driving, the diff tugs, as if someone has a rope tied to the back of the car and tugs the car back. its only happened quickly 2 or 3 times in the last month - but it's still happened.

I donno :(

Jack up the back end so both wheels can spin freely. Spin one side by hand if the other side spins in the same directions its LSD; if not its not.

Yep that'll tell him if it's an LSD but if it's badly worn out it will still open wheel under load.
