Hey ppl,

I am about to convert my car to a manual. I got all the bits i need except for a manual comp. I have been talk to a few ppl n Joe from fast fords in Qld said to me to short 2 pins in the auto comp so that the comp thinks it is always in neutral n then it will idle properly. He thinks you short pin no. 05 n no. 37 but he is not sure. If anyone out there knows for sure please let me know cause it is impossible to get manual comps for a ED.

Also I have a 10" Pioneer sub. It is the checka plate model free air. But i have it in a box n i was wondering if anyone else has done this n what size their box was??

And 1 more thing I need a 600 watt max amp into 1 channel. Can be 2 channel but gotta be brigded or 4 channel but has gotta put out 600watt max not rms into a channel.

mate i dont think anyone else knows this on the forum as the conversion has been talked about alot (including the computer problem) and this method has never been mentioned.

if you are able to find out the truth from another source it will definately help a lot of people

I agree, If it works, itll sove a lot of the smartlock/ non smartlock issues.

Better sell my 4.0 manual smartlock ecu sooner :hrm:

ummmm. thats is rite, if you talk to Bass Crazy i'm pritty sure he will be able to tell you that. and also MADeaS. they both have put a manual into an auto car and i'm pritty sure have done that. But the difference is that they were both EA's a S1 and S2. But i'm pritty sure that it works the same on later model cars.
