I went to a mechanic today he said $1500 for a manual conversion. Iv decided to do it as I want to keep my ea s and put a 4l head on it. The thing is its a 4sp auto so how much can i sell this hole auto unit for ???

I went to the repco place accross the street from the caboolture transport at bribe island. The guy was there doing a EBS conversion when i came in he said 1500-1600. I sort of want to do it to a EB for the 4L head option but prefer the EA. I rang a wrecker just about half and hour ago they said all the parts needed to go from manual>4sp Auto is $1000. So im thinking of trying ot sell my auto in the paper the hole lot its in perfect condtion for $800 (dunno if ill get close to it?). If i can sell it then gonna do the manual conversion.

repco do transmission conversions? or is it a different repco to the one im thinking of?

Yeah im not sure if to upgrade my Ea but it will cost me so much money in the end and probly wont have very high resale value. Dads a car dealer so talkin it over with him not sure weather to go ahead get it done or to save up the money and at the end of the year look for a EF falcon manual. just not sure :/ I would of only saved up about a 1k at the end of the year and what ever i sell the eas for so just dunno :(
