For some reason its been difficult to get the car into first gear, I had the clutch adjusted and it was fine for about a week, and now it's getting worse again. Any ideas?
I and a mate both have EL manual Futura's and we both have found this to be a problem, since we got the cars, he had 34k on the clock my had 19k. I get round it by going back into second still with the clutch in and then slide it into first, just like I used to do with my car which had no synco on first.
does it happen on start (ie box cold) or all the time......try change the oil and put in ATF that is dextron II or better in it - oil change can do heaps!
My au xr6 does the same thing sometimes, but only when stationary
Very annoying, I think it is the gears in the gearbox are having trouble lining up, knowing my luck the gearstick will break on me
My XH does the same it can be a pain when you need to select 1st quickl;y off the lights , I just double pump the clutch or select second like SMITH says, my girl wont drive it because of this so its a blessing in disguise!
mine does that if i go out the driveway.. change to 2nd.. then sit at the lights 60meters up and wanna go into first.. usually bring clutch out halfway.. crunch.. goes in fine

Do you downshift heavily back to first in day to day driving? If not the first gear synchro shouldn't be worn. It may have a split outer ring or the drive tabs may be ripped off. What oil do you run?
