l0zerth Registered User Join Date: Jul 2003 Location: Maine, USA Age: 29 Posts: 10	Manual transmission fluid I've got a 91 escort lx 1.9L mtx (= 5 speed manual), and I just cannot get fresh transmission fluid in. (Yes, I'm an idiot, I drained the transmission instead of the oil.) I know that the usual way is to disconnect the speedometer cable and pour the fluid in there, but the brass 'O' ring (actually more like a plug unit) that's supposed to be the end of the cable won't come out, and I was wondering if there's another place to fill or some suggestions for removing the o-ring.
