Can anyone tell what the maximum power and torque a stock 5ltr Auto can take before you need to make modifictions? ie h/d cluthches & bands, stall converters etc.

Blueoval,

You should be able to get around 240 fw kw through a standard box no worries at all.
Mines pushing 210 - 215 kw through the standard 6 auto and has been for a few years, and it hasnt blown yet. I think the v8 auto have different bands to the 6's.

The shift module you got will help also, as the slip within the bands is reduced which results in less heat and less wear.
