GM and tossers go hand in hand.......
Seriously, locked diffs have the benefit of maximum traction for drag racing or accelerating out of corners.
However, unlike LSD's which slip when needed, spools force the inside wheel to travel the same distance as the outside wheel when cornering, which greatly reduces tyre life, and can be a real handful to downright dangerous in wet weather.
Spools have there place, but a decent LSD is more appropriate on the road.
