im going to buy a rebuilt one, but my question is what is the difference between the auto's from an el ghia compared to an el gli

ahh ok, so basically i can use any trans out of an el but if i use the trans comp thats in the car now then it will be the same as the xr6 trans?
or am i way off the mark?
sorry for all the stupid questions guys, i just want the car to be mechanically perfect for a while, i dont want to lose any power by using a wrong part, if that makes sence lol
