You'd have to use an AU box if you used a T5. The AU box is longer, the shifter's further back. Anything earlier wouldn't fit.
I shudder to think what an AU T5 would cost....probably just as cheap to use a T56 or something similar at about $7k. Whether or not that would fit I don't know, talk to Tremec I guess. Another name to try would be Mal Wood I believe, for the supply of this box.
The auto ECU can be fooled into thinking the box is permanently in N so as to rule out idle issues.
AFAIK it's still a cable clutch. Gearstick surround is different but the console should be the same, it is in all earlier models. Pedal box can probably be modified by adding a bit of rod for a pivot and cutting down a brake pedal.
