Considering buying a tonner with 550hp 355 on pump fuel, 5800 stall transbrake powerglide, 4.71 diff gears. Just want to know how much of a pig this will be on the street, will only be driven once a week kind of thing.

If it's done right it'll drive nice. I've been for a ride in a 10sec torana that was as sedate as my EL Falcon.

Problem is with a tonner you will have no traction. Which in a tonner can be very dangerous. Those tonners are dangerous with a stock 6.

Don't know what mods are done for traction, all i know is 29x12.5 sportsmans pro on 15 x 12 rims and is a high ten low eleven car so it must being getting some sort of traction. Full spool also.

Spools on the street are quite annoying, I have one in my coupe, and it is starting to give me the sh!ts. Im seriously considering going back to LSD.
You need to be real careful around corners, especially when its wet, or the road surface is slippery as the car tends to want to go straight instead of turning.

With those size tyres, you might want to consider the fact that you will either snap an axle or shatter the spool being driven on the street.

Forgot to add it has 31 moser axels, these are fairly strong arent they? Also can 11.3 comp be run on pump fuel?

Gezz mate it doesn't sound like the kind of car that will drive happily on the street's, better of on the strip.

Depends on how big the camshaft is. I dare say it's a large one ue to the histall.

I'll be driving around with a 4500rpm histall with 11.2:1 compression and on pump fuel soon enough.
