Need help

I want to swap my V8 EB into a manual.
I would have no clue as how to do it myself.
Does anyone know anyone, like any shops or wreckers or someone who does these conversions in Melbourne??
Please i would really like to know.
thanks, any info would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Need help

If you can use a spanner, you can do this mod. If you prefer not to do it yourself, then the best thing to do is actually go and buy a 5 speed XR8. They will rip you off and unless the car is of huge sentimental value, its just not worth it. I did it myself on the cheap and it still cost me $2400.

Re: Need help

I've never done a Falcon conversion before but I've pulled apart many of my Escorts, including rebuilding engines.
Its not hard. Just download the guide that MongrelEB put up and give yourself heaps of time to do it. Invite a few mates around and make a weekend of it. If you have the tools and a good guide/workshop manual then its a piece of cake really.

Thats a very good price. I would even call them back and ask them again, just in case they quoted you for a I6 conversion. When I bought my stuff, I chucked out the 6 cyl loom, bellhousing, clutch cable and clutch fork as all this is incompatible. Heres my progress with my car: 302 5 speed
