NL Auto Transmission leak

been noticing lately small patches of fluid in the carport under my NL fairlane.
the patches appear to be located directly under the transmission...

would be a big problem??
or would it just be the seals or something?

hope it doesnt work out to be too expensive

i only bought it a few weeks ago!

Re: NL Auto Transmission leak

could very well be the tranny, just take it to get a service somewhere or for them to check it out, it shouldnt cost more than 100bucks really for a servie on it unless you get a full flush!

Re: NL Auto Transmission leak

It could be one of a few things mate. Could be an extrension housing seal leaking (extension housing seal is located at the back of the transmission where the output shaft and tailshaft spline together), it could be the speedo transducer leaking, it could be the servo gasket leaking, or at worse it could be the front pump seal (pray that it isnt that). Check the above mentioned for leaks, or if you aren't sure take you car to a mechanic. Make sure he shows you wheres its leaking from so you know before you give them the nod to repair it.
