91RANGERNJ Registered User Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 3	no reverse no neutral A4LD please help 1991 ranger 4x4 4.0 a4ld thought it had to do with transfer case so i removed transfer case with case off engine running put selector in reverse feel it engage, spline does not spin.(engine off) put in neutral cannot spin spline freely.(engine running) put in drive spline spins normal.now what?i've read about valve body overhauls,reverse servo seals,and so on.but ive never heard of anything to fix no neutral.its seems as though the trans is stuck in forward gear but the selector shifts the gears fine and you feel engagement in reverse neutral and drive.any ideas or anyone have similar problem.
