Well, after couple of weeks of diff whining, the pinion bearings and the oil seal have collapsed and all the oil has leaked out. Does anyone know the price of a new pinion bearing and an oil seal, or how much it would cost to get it done by a diff place?

my brother got all the bearings and seals replaced in his VT Wagon, which has an LSD, for $750.

OED666 i ended up changing the whole diff as the loose pinion made a mess of the crownwheel. The diff is in the garage waiting to be rebuilt.

The bearings are fairly cheap. For the 2 pinion and 2 carrier bearings and seal is about $100. Youll also need a collapsable spacer and get a shop to fit it all up.

I bought the bearings, oil seal and the collapsible spacer for $60 for the lot brand new, but ended up getting a refund as the crownwheen was destroyed. I got a 2.77 lsd of another EA (changed the whole housing). Guys this This all happened in January and has been fixed a long time ago, but tanks for the help.
