Evening gents

I have just converted the eb auto to a 5 speed out of an ed with 120000 k's on the clock.

The problem i am having is the car will not kick over with the manual computer. I have tried 2 of them. However if the auto computer is in the car will kick and run rough as guts. I know the possible reasons for this but have no idea why it will not run the new computer.
Has anyone had feedback or experience with having to organise reprogramming the computer to get running?

Did u bypass the neutal starter cct properly?

Did you use a smartlock computer? and the auto computer will run it but itll be spazzing out since it thinks the transmission is really sick (when itsa really not there)

yeah id say the manual computers are pre smartlock....
try one from a serII or later

I have an ecu from an 5 speed XG ute which is smartlock. Im not sure if i need it or not yet though

Problem was the computers supplied were smartlock. I don't have smart lock.
