A Mustang B/H will be too short, have a RHS 2 bolt starter, and the clutch fork on the LHS. The F/W used on both is the same, so if your F/W won't fit, it is probably the wrong one. Count the teeth on the ring gear and post back. B/H will fit the block and the box patterns. Engine will go bang if you fit the incorrect F/W.
If you're not driving a manual you're really just steering.
