Hey guys after getting my car back from having a brand spanking new Daikin clutch installed , ive got afew questions. Firstly , I must say that the pedal feels strange. Its quite heavy up top and extremely light towards the bottom end of the clutch pedal stroke.(unlike my other one that was heavy the whole way) But my question is where should the clutch start to take up when taking off? Its was all around the top when I picked it up and now ive adjusted it all down the bottom (like my old one was) so whats the correct way?
Cheers
James

You should have full release on the floor, and full engagement between one and one and a half inches off the floor. The funny feeling you were getting was the diagphram in the pressure plate going over centre.

Is this a bad thing? problem with the clutch?
Just had a look at the firewall that they welded up and the bloody thing still has HEAPS of flex in it. They didnt weld a plate , just welded u the tear.....so im rather pissed.

yeah - as carsik says - if i adjust my clutch so it takes up just off the floor its very heavy - if it sits just level with the brake pedal when fully released its nice and light, and grips like poop to a blanket.
