Hi everyone, I need a bit of help answering a couple of questions if you can help out thank you very much.

I think im having a few problems with my diff at the moment, I dont know a hell of alot about cars but I think im right this time.

After I start the car and take off driving, the first corner I to go around the car tend to shudder from the back or go bang, it feels asif its around the rear left when it does so.

Has anyone else ever had this problem? Do you know what can cause it? and also if it is the diff whats the likely cost of having it fixed or replaced?

A friend is thinks the XF diff will fit on it and apprantly they are pretty cheap, as I was saying I dont know alot and being a pretty new driver I havent experienced anything like this before so any help or advice you could throw my way would be great.

Have you checked if there is any oil in the diff? It should be just up to the bottom of the filler hole. Undo the filler when cold and stick your finger in. You should be able to feel or see when you take your finger out again if theres oil in there. I know my LSD is making noises and the oil is low on it. It's got a leak from the front seal. That's one quick easy inexpensive check to be done first. Hope that helps...
