Hey guys,

Well my T5 conversion is not happening this weekend :(

I picked the box up yesterday and had a fiddle with it to make sure it was ok before I put it in the car.

The box has teeth stripped off reverse. I went straight back to the wreckers and told him, they've got no problems with supplying me a second hand gear and for me to put it in. Thing is, reading through the Haynes manual, I'm not game enough to go pulling the bax appart. I am going to go back on Monday an tell him that they can put it in or pay someone to do it.

How much would it cost to get this done?

Also, if anyone has an EBII 5spd Non S/L ECU and the stick that attaches to the shifter let me know! I am eager to take them off your hands if they are the right price.

I took it back today and told him that I wanted a trans specialist to do the job, he wasn't impressed, but agreed :)

Hopefully I'll have the box back by Wednesday. In this time I hope to have the flywheel, clutch and bellhousing installed and the wiring complete so the car will be ready for the box to go straight in.

Then I have the joys of trying to get the bloody thing to run properly with a 4spd EBII or 5spd EA ECU.
