My father has an XF falcon S Pack with a 5 speed gearbox. we can get all the forward gears but we cannot get reverse. even when I switch the motor off I still cannot get it into reverse.
Has the selector for reverse gear broken or just wore out.
how do I fix it as I will do the mechanics myself
If anyone can help me it would be appreciated

on the early one (0507)theres a adjustment on the side for the aliment of reverse but if its like most of the 5 speed of that era may be a lot of freeplay in the bearings and bushers in the shifter wear out.

that is if its the early xf later is the t5 dont know about the t5ob

hay mate hav ya fixed ya problem yet cause if u havent try putting it in reverse and if ya reversing lights come on or u can take ya foot off the clutch without it stalling its just ya clutch cable u need to adjust because it isnt pulling ya pressure plate out enough to put it into gear due to no syncro in 5th and reverse gears
