Driving my car yesterday i noticed a shuddering type thing coming from what i thought was the auto gear box.

Basically i was accelerating slowly in 1st or 2nd gear, and the car started shaking. It felt almost as if it wasnt in gear properly, jumping out or something. Didnt feel particularly good.

And when i was driving it this morning it done the same thing once. Then drove fine.

Was wondering if anyone had a idea what it could be?
I had the gearbox services a few months back, and the only thing they mentioned was a seal/bush thing on the drive shaft(?) (where it meets the gearbox) needed replacing, but wasnt a big concern.

The shaking might not be coming from the gearbox, thats what it felt like but.

Any ideas??

The box has done a few other dodgy things aswell.
One day i floored it on the freeway, only to be greeted with a big CRUNCH sound.

And on sunday when changing out of 1st at near redline, the car nearly stopped coz the box done something strange. But i cant really remember what happened.

There are a few other things but i cant remember.

hmm i was saving for a manual, but had postponed that for a few months to allow me to get a long awaited power increase. bugger.

Ill book it in to get looked at.

Yes mate sounds liek your auto is on the way out. My 5 litre EF started doing the same in first and shuddering in 3rd.

I have my mate thats just reckoed a EB manual and I can pick you up Gearbox, flywheel, clutch, cable, bell housing and peddle box for about 500 or 600 dollars.

Can he wait a while? :) Go no money atm, just finishing uni for the year, so i havent been able to work much.

Definatley interested, but will have to wait a few weeks till i get the cash up.
