Have a brand new BA XR6 and on 2 occasions have had a strange occurrence.
Whilst idling, in drive, suddenly white/grey smoke starts billowing from the exhaust. It idles rough then after 20-30seconds, it returns to normal.
On the 2nd occasion, whilst it was in drive, I pressed the accelerator and it just revved, as though it was in neutral. I put it into Park then back to drive and everything went back to normal. It's got me beat as to where to start. The dealer hasn't a clue whats wrong and wants to wait for it to occur more consistently before they look at it further. They said that no faults showed on the ECU. I dont know where to start, the ECU, trans or what. Anyone help?
Oh, and both times the car was on a slight incline.

What you've described is exactly what Trimatics can do in Holdens when the modulator diaphram leaks
It sounds like the engine is burning transmission fluid, but I can't think of any fault situation in a BA that could cause that..
