There was a red one in an old performance ford magazine from a couple of years ago... I think there is a post or two on here about it.

it was built to race agains 6cyl VP's in a production car series. XR6 engine and V8 gearbox iirc.

Yeah, what they said.

It would be awesome if Ford made another similar car, with the XR6T engine and XR8 gearbox, with no A/C, stereo etc for GT-P racing.

Ford are apparently seriously looking into an optional power upgrade for the XR6T for the series 2. The Targa Tasmania was in a way a durability test for it.

My friend worked with the guy who helped develop the power upgrade for the Targa car. The guy couldn't get over the power and tuneability of the stock ecu. It apparently even controls the voltage level to the coils.
