when engaging from neutral to drive or to reverse i get cluck, also when slowing down to a stop, had it back to Ford what are talking about just put it in economy mode ,no worrys spend all the money and to drive around in economy mode, mind the clunk is less ,but can not have the super clean gear changes
The big problem is it is out of warranety,3 months ago,might be diff , trans ,irs,back lash.Any help will appreciated.

sounds like it might be a uni joint or a centre bearing (do au sedans have them?). worth checking anyway.

also might be the g/box mount.

If its an XR8 some had problems with the tranny valve body. BIG BUCKS to fix unfortunately. I think it may have been a 'if the customer complains it is a recall' item.
