i need info on strengthening an EA manual trans and driveline etc:

The T5 gear sets/clusters can be upgraded easily. Got for a later model tailshaft ie ELGT carbon fibre jobbie or look around as many places do a twin tailshaft conversion nowdays, diff get one of those hydratrac diffs or ring Castlemaine rod shop they strengthen the B/W up not quiet to 9inch standards but its costly.

Ive heard of a place in Syd called CRYOTUFF or something like that. They freezae components like gearsets or watever and it somehow improves teh strength and durability of the material. They got a good review in teh mag i saw it in but idonno from experience.

ok thats good but now how can i strengthen the actual gearbox or upgrade it as it will be under considerable pressure from torque.

If you are talking about the actual housing? got no idea only know how to strengthen the internals otherwise its a Tremec for you.

With considerable power ie:450 HP, how could you strengthen the internals so they dont break or warp etc, any help would be very much appreciated. Its a T5.

You can buy upgraded internals for the T5 which will handle the amount of power you describe but the aint invincable
The Gearsets are stronger than the factory sets, upgraded tapered roller bearings etc.
World products do strengthened gearsets for the T5

Aren't they tremecs not T5's or isn't there a difference and isn't the price in USD rather than AUD. Just out of curiosity...what is a tremec out of? Most of the stuff on that site is for cobras so for a guess the tremec comes from a cobra but anything else?
