i just got ahold of an 1990 f-250 ext 2wd with rebuilt 351 and a 5spd. is it worth it to put 4wd into the truck or am i better of just finding an original 4wd vehicle? i'm not worried about the price of the front end and transfer case for the 4wd but overall with maintenance time and hassle.

I'm not an F100 expert but I'd say no.
Pluses: 4 wheel drive ability
Minuses:
Work involved in the swapover (I believe there are differences in the chassis etc to contend with too)
Extra tyre wear
Extra fuel consumption
Possibly an engineers certificate required for the conversion
Parts used to be expensive / difficult to get although I believe this is better now with so many people importing bits
4wd f100s had dual shocks etc so you would need to consider adding them
Easier to find yourself a 4wd one if you need the ability.
