Any good brands of heavy clutches to use on a T5. Converting over to manual soon and placing a heavy duty clutch , got a few prices around $300 ....brisbane
A few people around here have a Daiken (sp?) clutch on their T5's and they seem to work pretty good...fairly light and they grip like all hell aparantly.

heavy duty clutches in falcns dont go too well - it accelerates wear on all the other clutch components, pedal box, cable, throwout arm etc - generally not a good idea to get a traditional heavy duty one, but i cant get the daikin one to slip, and i have tried bloody hard - 126kw at the wheels, 225/65/15 brigestone GIIIs, a limited slip diff, a 60kg stereo weighing the back of the car down and many full-blooded clutch-dump launches on a drag strip havent fazed it...

what rollin said - too true. Dont know why they bother making a daikin HD for the falcon.....the standard is just fantastic. IMHO the pedal feel is the best.

Dayken are the anodised ones? I have one and although it didn't slip (polish ported EF etc.) it took a while to get the clutch right (cable adjustment). I can vouch for the non slipping and the great pedal travel now, it's barely (less than 1cm) higher than the brake and i don't have to push it all the way in to change gears. They are better then the ones strandard on XR6's imho

If you are doing the conversion look at the pedal box.. It's not that hard to weld a few pieces in there to threngthen it. I made up a bracket that went from firewall to bolt on inner guard to stop flexing and breakage there also. A new cable also helps as well, as the cable wears through plastic linner...
