Hey people,
i just picked up a t5 out of an xf and will go into my xh.
i need to get first gear checked out before i do the conversion.
i will turbo the ute in the next 6 months and want to know what i can do to the box to handle the extra power? do i need to?
im only going to run low boost with a small turbo but i might run higher boost later.

i picked up the t5 for nothing so i may as well use it. unless someone wants to swap the t5 for a supra box with a cash adjustment?

i agree with what the others have said. If you have going to have any forced induction say good bye to the T5 that you currently have. My T5 has XR6T and V8 internals and will cope with 200rwkw nicely. I was told if my car was kept NA it would be sweet, but if a turbo or supercharger was involved then i might run into trouble.

What sort of power are you looking for. For piece of mind i would suggest getting a Supra box.

Interesting thread. Im gonna be swapping my drivetrain over into another falcon shell soon and would love to throw in a SUPRA box instead of the 3sp auto (which I despise). How much is a Supra box? Ive heard around 500 is the mark. And would a supra box be able to adapted to fit a 4.1 and/or V8 like a 351 or even a bigblock instead of a toploader like maybe with a different bellhousing or something?
