Has the gearing of the BA's T5 been changed from that of E*-AU?
Perhaps a better question would be, what *should* the top speed in each gear be? I'd have thought I'd be changing up at lower speeds with the XR's 3.45 than I was in my 3.23 EF.... ?
Correct WBT56, however looks like only the XR6T is blessed with the stronger V8 gear set, all the 182kw'ers get the "old" set 1st-3.35, 2nd-1.93 3rd-1.29 etc

how do you change the "gear set"?
what are the advantages/disadvantages?
Gearset can be changed to V8 spec, but you need to have access to the componants to do it. V8 set is stronger, and the taller first gear allows you to go to a lower diff without making first too low, thus improving the rest of the package. Probably not worth doing on a std engine.
