just two weeks after replacing my engine the gearbox decides to play up
what its doing is not going into any gear when engine is running but will when engine is switched off.
i have adjusted the clutch cable,checked the fork has movement(thats all good),fluids alright
what could be doing this?

Have you been power shifting and how many klmrs?
Do you feel itgo in or is there no feel in gate at all.Any grinding noise etc?? Either clutch or box???
The dreaded crunch into reverse is it still there ???
sounds like you need Mal Wood on the phone ???

i have just been driving the car like normal,i have a hunch the pressure plate had some kind of failure,or the fork has come off its bellhousing pinoin
i have it booked in for a look at the garage tommorow,should find out what has happened,
700+ dollars later

Where did that price come from? A good mechanic should be able to diagnose very quickly. Did you put a spigot bush in the new engine?

yep i put a new spigot bearing in the crank
