Hey boyz, got a small problem... Was changing gearbox fluid today... drained ok, went to undo the top filler plug and couldnt get the damn thing off!! No matter what i used it wouldnt budge.
Any idea's how i could get the plug off??

allen key and small sledge did mine ok....it was quite tight....you jus need some more leverage!

btw - that'll teach ya to make sure you can fill it b4 u dump it!

glad ya said that, i'm about to change the oil in mine. i'll make sure i can get the filler plug off first

Just hit the plug with a hammer a few times fairly hard and it will loosen up it may take a few hits just try undoing it after every 4 hits. Hit it hard but be sensible because the box is alloy

Why ya changing the oil.. do you like smooth gear changes and no noise?

I'll remember to check if i can get my fill plug out b4 i attempt to drain it now that i've read this!

I'll probably rip the box out and do it.. since i really need a new clutch.. but thats after the rear brakes get replaced.. metal to metal aint pretty sounding!
