I think he means the mainshaft in the gearbox. Any gearbox place should have them laying about. Be sure to get one with the correct front- plain roller bearing, and correct rear- 28spline.
I have got one at home in my big box of gearbox bits. I have also got a couple of surplus rebuilt 6cyl T5s (that haven't ever been fitted to the rally car - they were built up for spares), now that we are no longer running an I6.

Hmmm. I not sure if this was directed to me or not. In any case, I was after $500 each for the rebuilt gearboxes. $200 (half new price...) is probably reasonable for the shaft alone.
Cant afford it at the moment so I am only replacing parts that need replacing like bearings a syncro the output shaft and any seals required. the rest of the gear box is is in good condition.
