Does anyone know if it's possible to put a taller 5th gear into my EA Falcon T5 Manual gearbox? I'm soon to be throwing my 4.11:1 diff back into it, and it would be nice to get the revs down on the highway :)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What ratio is your fifth gear now? You can work it out by rev drop at the same speed from fourth to fifth if you don't know.

It's a standard EA T5 box. I'm not sure what ratio they were, but I'll try to find out.

Should be about 0.78. You can get a 0.72 gearset for this box, to bring it up to the same O/D as the XR6/V8 box.

Shouldn't be any issues with mating that gear to the laygear, should there?

It is a floating gear, so no.
