Hello, I have a 93 Taurus GL that has 100k miles on it, and recently it has been doing the following while both driving in the city and the highway.

suddenly shifting up and down , and once in a while goes into neutral and just rev's..


It is an automatic transmission

I took it to a show and nothing shows up on the cpu read out.


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i figured it out, after the neutral safety switch was changed, it has not had any problems.

I have similar problems with an 92 sable 3.0 V6 the trans I believe is an AX4S.
I just posted a question to the forum regarding my problem.

Where is the part you mentioned located? Is it expensive to replace? I have been told by several people some at parts houses that Ford did a very bad job on this transmission. Mine may not be the same as yours.

Any help would be appreciated
