For well over a year my '93 Taurus 6cyl. wagon has had a problem upshifting when making a left turn from a stop. When pulling out from a stop the tranny engages into first gear fine. If it upshifts to second gear during a left turn with any inertia, the trans will slip (neutral) and shift to second when the turn is completed and the car is going straight. If I take the turn really, really slow, it behaves fine. Doesn't seem to do this any other time. Anyone?

Check the fluids.

Thanks, but fluid was the first thing I checked. I guess the shop is the next stop.
