What are the power/torque ratings for the auto box in the EL? Does the fact that its a column shift make a difference to anythign on these cars?

Diff and axles will take 300 rwkw with relativly normal driving, safe perormance driving ...Even better with auto as there is less chance of shock loading rear end...

well hopefully mine (BTR85LE) wont complain too much with 10psi eventualy.....250k says it wont

i think they are generaly rated to arround 220kw (flywheel) with the BA/Tseries having 250kw ratings.

Does anyone know what the internal differences there are between the 'E' series auto boxes, and the BA boxes ?
There is a pretty huge difference in std output (185kW EL2XR8 c.f. to 260 kW BAXR8), so i would think that the factory would have beefed them up somehow?
