Tranny Slipping
My 2002 Ranger 4.0L auto transmission is slipping (101,000 mi.). It doesn't happen every day (maybe twice a week) and when it does, it is always on the first shift into D of the day. It never happens again during that day. Never slips in reverse,
I didn't start having the trouble until I changed the fluid and filter. I did the first change myself then I took it to a shop for a professional change but it is still there.
Any idea what it is? When I take it into the shop, what can I expect them to tell me?
