roll Trans manuals

I have an EA and my son has an NC Fairlaine, in both cars the tranmissions have done 300,000 + and are starting show signs of wear, I am a competant mechanic and have overhauled my share of C4's and Borg Warner 35's, but I am looking for a book to help me overhaul the two 4 speeds, I have tried various places online and off and am having trouble finding a manual at a reasonable price, can anyone help?

sorry to hijack the thread, but ive got what looks to be a stuffed C4 in my cortina burnout car, it need to be going for a burnout weekend down south in 3 weeks. I'm either looking at a replacement box or rebuilding the C4, i noticed you said you've rebuilt them before. would you be able to help at all?

Re: Trans manuals

With a bit of shopping around you should be able to find in a secondhand bookshop in the suburbs somewhere a full workshop manual (bound as one volume) that includes the trans section for around $50 (I did).

Try emailinga request here http://www.elizabethsbookshop.com.au/ noting car manauls are mainly sold from one shop:
"Elizabeth's Hay Street
Our flagship store near the corner of Hay Street and King Street in the Perth CBD is the largest secondhand bookshop in Western Australia. Apart from all the categories stocked in each branch, Elizabeth's Hay Street also holds specialised stock in the areas of Comics (incl. 'Phantoms') and Car Manuals."
