Could someone please tell me what auto is under my XD It originally had a 302c but i rebuilt a 351 and put that in. my auto has the dipstick coming out of the pan I would like to know if it is a strong enough gearbox to handle a stall and 351.

Sounds like a C4. Can be beefed up to be reliable behind a 351, but should handle a stocker OK - if you look after it! ;-)

In addition some places call them C10's as C4's are generally case fill. C10 is just a later revision of the C4 with pan fill instead of case fill.

Internally the box's run the same parts.
