I have an 90 EA S Pack MPFI... i know it's a 4 speed but what is the model number (or whats it known as) for the actual transmission.

I also wanted to know how much you guys paid for a transmission service/overhauls... because i have budgeted to get mine serviced/overhauled in the near future. Also what should i do to strengthen it and lasting longer???

I don't really know about strengthening it, but fitting a big front-mount trans cooler will make it last longer

Put it in N for extended stays at traffic lights etc, no bands or clutches engaged, less strain less heat.

its called the 85-LE if I remember correctly.....Theres a place that apparently sells reco'd 4 speeds for $900 but it seems too cheap to be true

$900 for a reco 4 speed,i would double check that price..I think you would find if that is correct it would be for an absolute basic freshen with convertor ,solenoids+ steels etc as extra's...
