My T-Bird seems to shutter right before getting into forth gear.

what year car is it?? check your trans fluid and most likely youll need to replace it. thats a common sign of old/warn out transfluid, youll eventually feel that shutter going into third.

basicly flush the fluid and refill with Mercon V, trans fluid. thats highly recommended in the 4R70W trans found in tbirds 94-97 and mustangs 96+

YEa, I had a 93 Marq that did this. had fluids changed and it went away and was fine from then on!

If servicing doesn't take care of the problem have a mechanic do a stall test to determine if your torque convertor is going bad.
