tremec 5spd into xb

I have a XB sedan and my next big expense will be a new gear box.
I am interested in the tremec 3550,has any one put one of these in a XB?
I've seen one in a magazine but it did'nt go into much details about the box
swap. What i would like to know is the gear stick position in the same place as a single rail or top loader?what kind of belhousing can i use?and any general info on the conversoin would be apreciated.

Re: tremec 5spd into xb

The TR3550 is now obsolete, and any for sale are old stock. It has been superceded by the new TKO 500 and TKO 600 boxes. Very easy swap into ab XB, same stick position as a toploader.

If you're not driving a manual you're really just steering.

What about a C4, same stick position there?
Also, can they be ran off either cable or hydraulic clutches?

very similar. Can be run off cable or hydraulic as part of the complete package- large diameter flywheel is hydraulic, small diameter is cable.
