T5 conversion... that's in the past...

Tremec 6spd comes in... (We sometimes have to trade with the enemy... I know)

Holden fans use our famous beefy 9 inch rear end! It's time for us to grab just one vital part from Holden... The Tremec 6spd from the VT S valued at $5000.

If fitted to the EA... cruising at 110km/ph in 6th gear, the engine rumbles as little as 1600rpm. Sounds tempting I know! Plus at that RPM level, you'd save almost as half the usage of petrol you use using your auto box.

I don't have the 6spd in my EA but from discussion with mates... it can be done virtually to any car with 6 cyl and V8's... it could rock in a XR8.

it's a shame the 6spd never came out on the VT S, i would have loved if it came out with the S/C motor, they still gotta stick with the 5spd

The T56 is not a Holden box, its also used by the Viper, Corvette, Camaro/TransAm, 2000 Mustang Cobra R, 2003 Mustang Cobra.

But to get it to fit a 6cyl Falcon you would need a custom bellhousing, flywheel, clutch, gearbox mount etc.

The 5.0L V8 is a bit easier as they sell conversion kits in the US, but it still wouldnt be cheap.

It would be probably cheaper to get a 5 or 6 speed gearbox out of a wreck Skyline or Supra and modify that to fit.
