Wanted: Transmission to suite EA II - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Hey people,

My 4 speed auto in the old EA decided its time was up recently.. At the moment I have got a dodgy old replacement one in but it is shithouse.. slips badly..

What I am chasing is a box that is in good running order that i will be able to get a fair few km's out of.. Prefferably 4 speed or everything required to convert to manual.. But i guess 3 speed could work too..

have got 4 speed auto out of eb has done 197000 klm works fine $250

When you say it runs fine, does this mean that it doesn't slip at all?? even when hot?? Also where are you located? Getting it to Cairns could be fun!

mhm good luck mate, i was huntig around for an ea tranny last week and found one, but its buggered too. Townsville empty in terms of wreckers ... just letting u know

gearbox is fine does not slip i have 2 of them 1 out of au ute other 1 out of eb sedan i am at burpengary witch is north of brisbane

mmm sounds interesting.. wish there was some way of being sure... dont particularly wanna be forking out the dollars and then finding out its semi rooted..

an EB one will though.. right?? I am pretty sure all E series parts are interchangable but I just wanna confirm it..
