I've just completed an engine swap from a 6 to an 8 and for some reason just assumed that both had C4 gearboxes. Well the six had a borg worner and the floor shifters linkages are on the opposite side from the C4.
I can't use the shifter from the car that had the 8, it had a column shifter.

Can I some how swap the linkages on the bottom of the shifter?

I want to keep the original appearence (XB falcon), so what are my options?

Are the shift linkages the same between the C4 and FMX?

Only one easy way around it - get a shifter for a C4. Anything up to and including XE can be made to fit (assuming you are using a standard XA-XC console you need to grind off the shift indicator support if using XD/XE shifter). These should be pretty common (and cheap).

Cool, should be easy to get. Is the diameter of the t-bars upright the same as the XB or is it thicker?
