Hey all... I am confused as buggery. I don't know what diff ratio I've got. I originally thought it was a 2.92 (it's an LSD). And for those who say check on the diff housing, I did and couldn't find what it was. It's covered in crap and I can't read any of it, even after cleaning. Speaking with Thanatos today, he said that the 4 speeds had a 3.08, which I thought the manuals had. But he argues that the manuals had 2.92. And even then, apparently some Ghias and hence Fairlanes and LTDs had 3.27s. Now I'm confused, I don't know what I've got. Someone help! It's a series 2 DA 4 speed.
Youll find anything 4 speed MPI will have 3.23, and Ghias, (maybe fairlaines, def fairlaine Ghia's) and LTD's will have LSD versions. Only 25 spline tho.
So the poor old CFI's got left with 3.08's? I was under the impression that Manuals had 2.92 and all 4speed Autos in EA sedans had 3.08's. With 3.23 being used in Series 2 EB's.

Re: What diff have I got???!!!
the 3.08;s didnt come in till the ef falcon (97% sure)
the the xr8, the ltd v8's and fairmont ghias had 3.27 gears (for the eb series 2) whilst the xr6 had 3.45's
ea, had 2.77 and 2.92 for 3speeds, and 2.92 and 3.23's for 4 speed auto and 5 speed manuals.
all of the above i am 90% sure so i could be a little off, some one care to correct me?
cheers.joe.
