this motor of mine is a 302c the box that was with it look's like a c4 does anyone know what box would have been on it the motor we think came from an xb fairmont of around 74?.

probably a c4 being 302, it should have a tag on it, if you had a pic i could tell you

c4's have a small sump pan and alloy casing, im pretty sure FMX's are iron?

thats correct FMX's are iron. FMX's never came factory on anything but luxury cars eg landau's with 351's. More than likely it'll be a C4. It'll probably be pan fill also.

My guess would be a C10, had a same year Fairlane 302 and thats what it had in it.
