a transbrake is a little box with some solenoids and stuff in itwhich locks first and reverse gears togather in the gearbox, meaning you can apply full throttle while sitting at the lights with the brake off with no possibility of wheelspin, and when you dis-engage the transbrake the car launches like its got a rocket up its ass....
and thus puts massive strain on torque converter + g/box.
