confused where do i put the trans fluid

i have an 88 EA falcon, where do i put the auto trans fluid.. in the dipstick ??

Yes,be careful not to overfill.If it's a 3 speed use dexron,if it's a 4 speed be sure to use the correct TQ95 oil...

i have ATF Dexron III valvoline, but the valvoline website said to use ATF Type D Valvoline.. i have a 3 speed auto.. how will i know when there is enough oil in the dipstick.. my car was really rough when changing gears so i checked the oil and it is below the add line....

You do know to check with engine running dont you...

:) LOL yeah mate.. did that.. i mean if its not the fluid there is something really wronge with my car cause when the car changes gear you get whiplash

Could need the bands tightening or maybe the bushes in the suspension are on the way out.. I know mine has a few bushes that need fixing and when going down quickly from 3rd to 1st there is a clunk in the suspension.. This also causes a double movement so to say in the car - 1st is the transmission and then the suspension tightens up.. Get it looked at by a transmission specialist - costs around $90 for a trans service...

no... i start off at the lights and i will press the accel and nothing happens except it revs... then it clicks in and away it goes like a handbrake start... and when its in 3rd and i slow down to turn into my driveway its like the brakes have been put on and then it just revs until it clicks in... this only happens sometimes...

how often does a service on a auto need to be done.. i have had this car for about 15 months... could it just be no fluid.. how much is a good price for a service
